Subtle and dangerously quiet. If he spoke, you’d better hope he liked you because otherwise you’d be falling at his feet begging for mercy. Except me … I don’t beg—ever.
But when our eyes locked, it was Ream’s confident cold indifference that had my nerves shooting off like jet sprinklers.

Then…

Ream told me he didn’t need a second chance because he was still working on his first.

Can we just take a second to cherish all that is Nashoda Rose? This author just really got her ish together for this novel. I read the first book, Torn From You, and I wasn't all that impressed with it. WELL THIS BOOK totally stole my breath.

"Ream didn't just break us. He executed us."

Kat knows she loves the bad boy rocker who she hooked up with months ago. And she knows he's bad news. And she knows he's her best friends fiance's best friend, so things are a bit personal. And she knows that when he gets home from tour, it would be best to just ignore him and move on. But even though she knows all these things, her heart doesn't care because her heart wants Ream and everything that comes with him. Even his dark past. Even the things he hasn't told anyone.

"I'm back and the only way I'm running again is toward you."

Overall, I thought this was an amazing combination of dark romance and an erotic love story. Nashoda Rose's second book in her Tear Assunder series deserves 4.5 STARS out of 5 STARS. I recommend everyone reads this. But beware this is a dark romance, so some parts may be too much for certain readers.
